Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Railway Embankment, August Morning by Christopher Bramham was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in October 2014. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 22,344.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Christopher Bramham have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Railway Bridge Spring in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 74,400.00 (€ 110,405.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Railway Embankment, August Morning von Christopher Bramham wurde im Oktober 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 22.344,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christopher Bramham auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Railway Bridge Spring im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 74.400,00 (€ 110.405,86).
