Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Christian Rosa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2020. In the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work They Won'T Let Me In sold for GBP 35,280.00 (€ 39,175.43) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christian Rosa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Something In The Way, which sold at auction in October 2014 for GBP 116,500.00 (€ 148,753.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Christian Rosa erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit They Won'T Let Me In für GBP 35.280,00 (€ 39.175,43) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Christian Rosa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Something In The Way beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für GBP 116.500,00 (€ 148.753,67) versteigert wurde.
