Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Kunst + Krise by Christian Jankowski was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,671.54). Other works by Christian Jankowski have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in March 2014 by the work Poster Sale at USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,331.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Kunst + Krise von Christian Jankowski im Juli 2014 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.671,54) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Christian Jankowski wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im März 2014 die Arbeit Poster Sale mit USD 22.500,00 (€ 16.331,57).
