Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Ali And The Beatles by Chris Smith was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2019. The »bidding war« ended at USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,623.61), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chris Smith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ali And The Beatles, 1964, which sold at auction in September 2018 for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 49,136.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ali And The Beatles von Chris Smith wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.623,61) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Chris Smith mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ali And The Beatles, 1964 beobachtet, die im September 2018 für GBP 43.750,00 (€ 49.136,87) versteigert wurde.
