Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Chris Smith achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in May this year. In the Photographs auction, the work Ali and The Beatles sold for GBP 40,640.00 (€ 47,284.91) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chris Smith; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ali And The Beatles, 1964 sold at auction in September 2018 with the realized price of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 49,136.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chris Smith erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Ali and The Beatles für GBP 40.640,00 (€ 47.284,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chris Smith; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ali And The Beatles, 1964 im September 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 49.136,87).
