The work Senza titolo by Chris Ofili was sold in the Arte moderna e contemporanea auction at Il Ponte in November last year. It achieved a price of EUR 12,000.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chris Ofili achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Holy Virgin Mary in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 2,882,500.00 (€ 4,064,288.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Senza titolo von Chris Ofili wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Arte moderna e contemporanea bei Il Ponte versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 12.000,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chris Ofili erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Holy Virgin Mary im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.882.500,00 (€ 4.064.288,82).
