Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Chris Martin was sold in the FIRST OPEN | Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2016. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,071.99). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chris Martin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Staring into the Sun, which sold at auction in December 2017 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 31,192.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Chris Martin wurde im März 2016 in der Auktion FIRST OPEN | Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.071,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Chris Martin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Staring into the Sun beobachtet, die im Dezember 2017 für USD 37.500,00 (€ 31.192,81) versteigert wurde.
