Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seven Pointed Star for Isaac Hayes by Chris Martin was auctioned at Phillips in New York in November 2019. The price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,747.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chris Martin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Staring into the Sun, which sold at auction in December 2017 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 31,192.81).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.747,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden.
