Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chris Killip could be acquired at Bonhams in London in October this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work 'Torso, Pelaw, Gateshead' changed hands for USD 2,560.00 (€ 2,422.41) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chris Killip have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rocker And Rosie Going Home, Seacoal Beach, Lynemouth, Northumberland, Uk, 1984 in April 2014 with an auction result of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,933.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chris Killip konnte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit 'Torso, Pelaw, Gateshead' für USD 2.560,00 (€ 2.422,41) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chris Killip auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rocker And Rosie Going Home, Seacoal Beach, Lynemouth, Northumberland, Uk, 1984 im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.933,08).
