This work without title by Chiyu Uemae was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 78,580.23), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 72%. Admittedly, works by Chiyu Uemae have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 2,980,000.00 (€ 325,578.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Chiyu Uemae kam im Oktober 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 687.500,00 (€ 78.580,23) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chiyu Uemae auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.980.000,00 (€ 325.578,41).
