Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Writing Desk by Childe Hassam was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in September this year. The price achieved of GBP 2,560.00 (€ 2,560.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Childe Hassam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flags On 57Th Street, Winter 1918 in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 12,328,500.00 (€ 10,110,300.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Writing Desk von Childe Hassam wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.560,00 (€ 2.560,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Childe Hassam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flags On 57Th Street, Winter 1918 im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.328.500,00 (€ 10.110.300,15).
