Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Meeting by Chiharu Shiota was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 2,286.00 (€ 2,660.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chiharu Shiota achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work State of Being in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 287,500.00 (€ 337,153.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Meeting von Chiharu Shiota wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.286,00 (€ 2.660,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chiharu Shiota erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit State of Being im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 287.500,00 (€ 337.153,36).
