Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Artcurial held the auction Twenty One Contemporary, which included the work Untitled - 2016 by Chiharu Shiota. The price achieved of EUR 2,624.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chiharu Shiota achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work State of Being in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 287,500.00 (€ 337,153.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Twenty One Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled - 2016 von Chiharu Shiota zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 2.624,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chiharu Shiota erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit State of Being im Juli 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 287.500,00 (€ 337.153,36).
