Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Chie Fueki could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in July 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction, the work Cornucopia changed hands for USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,796.95) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chie Fueki have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Toward and Away in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 12,600.00 (€ 10,729.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chie Fueki konnte im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York wechselte die Arbeit Cornucopia für USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.796,95) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chie Fueki auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Toward and Away im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 10.729,80).
