Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Landscape by Cheng Zhengkui. The price achieved of HKD 239,400.00 (€ 26,629.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cheng Zhengkui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Running Script in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,180,000.00 (€ 121,484.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Cheng Zhengkui zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 239.400,00 (€ 26.629,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cheng Zhengkui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.180.000,00 (€ 121.484,44).
