Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Essay In Running Script by Cheng Zhengkui for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,819.86). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cheng Zhengkui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Running Script in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,180,000.00 (€ 121,484.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Essay In Running Script von Cheng Zhengkui für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.819,86) erwerben.
