Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Swallows And Apricot Blossoms by Chen Zun. The price achieved of HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,333.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Zun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plum Blossom in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 389,000.00 (€ 308,045.61).
