Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bird on a Pine Branch by Chen Zun was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 119,700.00 (€ 13,314.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Zun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plum Blossom in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 389,000.00 (€ 308,045.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bird on a Pine Branch von Chen Zun kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 119.700,00 (€ 13.314,97) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Zun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plum Blossom im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 389.000,00 (€ 308.045,61).
