This artwork by Chen Zun achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Crested Myna sold for HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,752.08) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Zun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plum Blossom in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 389,000.00 (€ 308,045.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Zun erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Crested Myna für HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.752,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Zun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plum Blossom im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 389.000,00 (€ 308.045,61).
