In October 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Temporary Family No. 130719 (Set Of Two) by Chen Yujun. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 325,000.00 (€ 37,968.67), 30% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Chen Yujun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unstable Faith No. 20190312 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 336,000.00 (€ 343,121.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Temporary Family No. 130719 (Set Of Two) von Chen Yujun zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 37.968,67) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Yujun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Unstable Faith No. 20190312 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 336.000,00 (€ 343.121,74).
