In April 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Asian Circumscription - 5.2 Square Metres No. 20100415 (Set Of Two) by Chen Yujun. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 375,000.00 (€ 43,339.01), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Chen Yujun have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Unstable Faith No. 20190312 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 336,000.00 (€ 343,121.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Asian Circumscription - 5.2 Square Metres No. 20100415 (Set Of Two) von Chen Yujun zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 43.339,01) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Yujun auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Unstable Faith No. 20190312 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 336.000,00 (€ 343.121,74).
