Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Asian Circumscription-5.2 Square Meters No.5 (Set Of Two) by Chen Yujun. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 220,000.00 – 400,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 25,349.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Yujun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Unstable Faith No. 20190312 in April this year with an auction result of HKD 336,000.00 (€ 343,121.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Asian Circumscription-5.2 Square Meters No.5 (Set Of Two) von Chen Yujun zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 220.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 25.349,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Yujun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Unstable Faith No. 20190312 im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 336.000,00 (€ 343.121,74).
