Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work White Phoenix by Chen Yihang. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,606.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Chen Yihang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Eagle in May 2011 with an auction result of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 35,781.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit White Phoenix von Chen Yihang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.606,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chen Yihang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Eagle im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 35.781,86).
