Auction result well in line with expectations
In August last year POLY held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings & Contemporary Chinese New Paintings, which included the work Pig by Chen Yihang. The price achieved of HKD 70,800.00 (€ 8,961.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Yihang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eagle, which sold at auction in May 2011 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 35,781.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August letzten Jahres führte POLY die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings & Contemporary Chinese New Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pig von Chen Yihang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 70.800,00 (€ 8.961,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Yihang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eagle beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 35.781,86) versteigert wurde.
