In April 2014 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings I - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings, which included the work Mandarin Ducks by Chen Yihang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 161,000.00 (€ 14,974.04), 34% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Yihang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eagle, which sold at auction in May 2011 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 35,781.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im April 2014 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings I - Contemporary Chinese Classical Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mandarin Ducks von Chen Yihang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 161.000,00 (€ 14.974,04) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Yihang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eagle beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 35.781,86) versteigert wurde.
