The work Eagle by Chen Yihang was worth HKD 400,000.00 (€ 35,781.86) to a buyer in May 2011. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Eagle the most expensive artwork by Chen Yihang that we have observed at auctions so far.
