Auction result well in line with expectations
The work White Egret on a Branch by Chen Yihang was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. The price achieved of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 11,641.12) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Yihang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eagle, which sold at auction in May 2011 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 35,781.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit White Egret on a Branch von Chen Yihang wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 11.641,12) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Yihang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eagle beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 35.781,86) versteigert wurde.
