Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2016 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction A Selection of Chen Wen Hsi Paintings and Modern and Contemporary Ink Art, which included the work Ducks by Chen Yihang. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 140,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 141,600.00 (€ 16,663.38). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chen Yihang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eagle, which sold at auction in May 2011 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 35,781.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2016 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion A Selection of Chen Wen Hsi Paintings and Modern and Contemporary Ink Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ducks von Chen Yihang zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 140.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 141.600,00 (€ 16.663,38) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Chen Yihang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Eagle beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 35.781,86) versteigert wurde.
