Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vitamin Z Series No. 30 by Chen Wenbo was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. It changed hands for a price of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,982.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Wenbo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chinesetest No.10 in October 2008 with an auction result of EUR 475,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vitamin Z Series No. 30 von Chen Wenbo wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.982,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Wenbo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chinesetest No.10 im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 475.000,00.
