Auction result well in line with expectations
The work INFLAMMABLE NO.2 by Chen Wenbo was sold in the FIRST OPEN | Shanghai: Living With Art auction at Christies in Shanghai in September 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CNY 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of CNY 22,800.00 (€ 2,925.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Wenbo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chinesetest No.10 in October 2008 with an auction result of EUR 475,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit INFLAMMABLE NO.2 von Chen Wenbo wurde im September 2019 in der Auktion FIRST OPEN | Shanghai: Living With Art bei Christies in Shanghai versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CNY 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CNY 22.800,00 (€ 2.925,01) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Wenbo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chinesetest No.10 im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 475.000,00.
