In October 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Lucky No.8 by Chen Wenbo. The result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 15,442.94) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Wenbo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chinesetest No.10 in October 2008 with an auction result of EUR 475,000.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lucky No.8 von Chen Wenbo zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 15.442,94) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Wenbo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chinesetest No.10 im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 475.000,00.
