A top price for Charles Webster Hawthorne - as previously expected
The work Portuguese Fisherboy by Charles Webster Hawthorne was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2015. The price achieved of USD 298,000.00 (€ 271,056.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portuguese Fisherboy is the most expensive artwork by Charles Webster Hawthorne that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Portuguese Fisherboy von Charles Webster Hawthorne kam im Mai 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 298.000,00 (€ 271.056,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden.
