Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Webster Hawthorne could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work The Florist'S Daughter changed hands for USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,848.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Webster Hawthorne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portuguese Fisherboy in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 298,000.00 (€ 271,056.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
