Sold at the lower estimate price
The work British two Pointers In A Landscape by Charles Towne was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2018. The result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 4,094.67) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Towne achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A bay hunter and three pointers in a landscape with Lyston Hall beyond in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 138,650.00 (€ 214,460.15).
