Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Christies in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale, which included the work La Seine à l’Institut by Charles Malle. The price achieved of GBP 3,780.00 (€ 4,481.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Malle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bords de Seine à Paris in June 2020 with an auction result of EUR 23,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Seine à l’Institut von Charles Malle zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.780,00 (€ 4.481,62) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Malle auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bords de Seine à Paris im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 23.750,00.
