This work without title by Charles Green Shaw was sold in the Modern Discoveries auction at Sothebys in New York in March last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 75,600.00 (€ 68,151.09), 51% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles Green Shaw have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plastic Polygon in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 555,000.00 (€ 497,802.49).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Charles Green Shaw wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Discoveries bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 68.151,09) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Green Shaw auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plastic Polygon im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 555.000,00 (€ 497.802,49).
