Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction American Art, which included the work Untitled (Cubist Composition with Guitar) by Charles Green Shaw. The price achieved of USD 24,320.00 (€ 22,295.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Green Shaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plastic Polygon in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 555,000.00 (€ 497,802.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Cubist Composition with Guitar) von Charles Green Shaw zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 24.320,00 (€ 22.295,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Green Shaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plastic Polygon im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 555.000,00 (€ 497.802,49).
