In August this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction American Art Online, which included the work New England Church by Charles Green Shaw. The »bidding war« ended at USD 15,360.00 (€ 14,171.05), 54% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Green Shaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plastic Polygon in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 555,000.00 (€ 497,802.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 54 % übertroffen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit New England Church von Charles Green Shaw zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 15.360,00 (€ 14.171,05) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Green Shaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plastic Polygon im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 555.000,00 (€ 497.802,49).
