Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction American Art, which included the work La Femme de Toulouse by Charles Green Shaw. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,040.00 (€ 6,607.85). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Green Shaw achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Plastic Polygon in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 555,000.00 (€ 497,802.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Femme de Toulouse von Charles Green Shaw zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.040,00 (€ 6.607,85) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Green Shaw erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Plastic Polygon im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 555.000,00 (€ 497.802,49).
