In May 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Fields of Vision: The Private Collection of Artists Wolf Kahn and Emily Mason Online Sale, which included the work Rothschild Lily #2 by Charles Demuth. The »bidding war« ended at USD 23,750.00 (€ 19,476.79), 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Demuth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work In The Key Of Blue in December 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,685,000.00 (€ 1,222,875.39).
