Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work British River Landscape by Charles Conder was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2009. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 21,600.00 (€ 12,699.07). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Conder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British the Fatal Colors in August 2008 with an auction result of AUD 702,000.00 (€ 409,791.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit British River Landscape von Charles Conder wurde im August 2009 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 21.600,00 (€ 12.699,07) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Conder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British the Fatal Colors im August 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 702.000,00 (€ 409.791,12).
