A top price for Charles Conder
This artwork by Charles Conder achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008. In the Important Australian Art auction, the work British the Fatal Colors sold for AUD 702,000.00 (€ 409,791.12) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 350,000.00. This high result makes British the Fatal Colors the most expensive artwork by Charles Conder that we have observed at auctions so far.
