Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Bird'S Nest by Charles Chaplin was auctioned at Bonhams in London in September 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,900.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles Chaplin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le rêve: The dream in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 70,195.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Bird'S Nest von Charles Chaplin kam im September 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.650,00 (€ 8.900,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Chaplin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Le rêve: The dream im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 55.250,00 (€ 70.195,75).
