Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nude by Cesar Legaspi was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. The price achieved of HKD 35,000.00 (€ 3,232.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 25,000.00 – 45,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cesar Legaspi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ginintuang Mayo (Golden Spring) in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,200,000.00 (€ 254,279.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nude von Cesar Legaspi wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 35.000,00 (€ 3.232,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 25.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cesar Legaspi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ginintuang Mayo (Golden Spring) im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.200.000,00 (€ 254.279,30).
