The work WOMEN AND CHILDREN by Cesar Legaspi was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. It achieved a price of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 57,881.92), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. Admittedly, works by Cesar Legaspi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ginintuang Mayo (Golden Spring) in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,200,000.00 (€ 254,279.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit WOMEN AND CHILDREN von Cesar Legaspi kam im November 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 57.881,92) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cesar Legaspi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ginintuang Mayo (Golden Spring) im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.200.000,00 (€ 254.279,30).
