Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Wall by Cesar Legaspi was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2015. The price achieved of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 51,334.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 400,000.00 – 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cesar Legaspi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ginintuang Mayo (Golden Spring) in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,200,000.00 (€ 254,279.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Wall von Cesar Legaspi wurde im Mai 2015 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 51.334,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 400.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cesar Legaspi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ginintuang Mayo (Golden Spring) im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.200.000,00 (€ 254.279,30).
