In March 2009 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Penshurst, Kent by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 812.50 (€ 876.16), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work J. Ashton Radcliffe, M.F.H., Hunting with the South Dorset Hunt in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 37,000.00 (€ 25,190.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im März 2009 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Penshurst, Kent von Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 812,50 (€ 876,16) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit J. Ashton Radcliffe, M.F.H., Hunting with the South Dorset Hunt im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.000,00 (€ 25.190,63).
