Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Acerca de la caja del reloj y del tiempo que se ha ido (About the Grandfather Clock and How Long It's Been Gone) by Carlos Garaicoa for USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,604.37). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Carlos Garaicoa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (from the series New Architectures) in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 41,357.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Acerca de la caja del reloj y del tiempo que se ha ido (About the Grandfather Clock and How Long It's Been Gone) von Carlos Garaicoa für USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.604,37) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Carlos Garaicoa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (from the series New Architectures) im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 41.357,25).
