Auction result well in line with expectations

In February this year Bonhams held the auction Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art, which included the work Solarium by Carlos Garaicoa. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,405.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlos Garaicoa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (from the series New Architectures) in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 41,357.25).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Solarium von Carlos Garaicoa zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.405,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlos Garaicoa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (from the series New Architectures) im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 41.357,25).
