In October 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Untitled (Seated blonde, black bustier), c. 1960–1973 by Carlo Mollino. The »bidding war« ended at USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,567.46), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carlo Mollino achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Important And Unique Dining Table in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 6,181,350.00 (€ 5,307,246.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Seated blonde, black bustier), c. 1960–1973 von Carlo Mollino zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.567,46) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carlo Mollino erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Important And Unique Dining Table im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.181.350,00 (€ 5.307.246,50).
